Jackson, MS (October 11, 2022) – Shortly before 9:30 a.m. on the morning of October 11, emergency responders were dispatched to the scene of an auto accident in Jackson. At approximately 9:21 a.m., police, EMTs, and other responders were observed at the crash site on Interstate 55.
Reports indicate the accident occurred on Interstate 55 near Gluckstadt Road. An unknown number of vehicles crashed in the area and caused injuries to at least one person.
Paramedics treated injured parties on-site and transported those with severe injuries to area hospitals as needed. The names of the involved individuals have not been released at this time.
The left lane of traffic was blocked on the interstate for some time on the morning of October 11 while responders worked in the area. Currently, authorities in Jackson continue to investigate the circumstances of the incident.
