Jackson, MS (June 20, 2023) – A man in Mississippi lost his life after he was involved in a traffic collision with a Peterbilt tractor-trailer and a 2019 Ford cattle trailer. Local news reports show the incident occurred when Sergio Sandoval, 34, a resident of Hazlehurst, was involved in the crash while driving his 2003 Toyota Tacoma.
The incident took place shortly before 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 20. According to reports, Sandoval lost control of his vehicle and was ejected when it overturned. The wreck occurred in the southbound lanes of Interstate 55 for reasons still under investigation.
Sandoval was pronounced deceased on-site, according to reports. The other involved driver was not injured, sources said.
