Jackson, MS (December 19, 2022) – At approximately 6:47 p.m. on December 19, emergency crews were sent to the scene of an auto accident in Jackson. What caused the crash to occur remains unknown at this time.
Multiple responders were seen working at the site of the incident located on US 80 near MS 468. At least two vehicles crashed and caused injuries.
Paramedics treated injured victims at the scene. Those with extensive injuries were transported to local hospitals for further care as needed.
The names of those involved have not been identified at this time. The exit ramp of US 49 South was blocked while crews worked to secure the scene.
Police asked local drivers to use different routes of travel while the site was active with responders.
