Jackson, MS (December 2, 2022) – On the morning of December 1, a serious car accident was reported to officials in Jackson. The incident occurred at around 8:15 a.m.
Sources say the accident took place on Interstate 220 between US 49 & Industrial Drive. Two or more vehicles crashed in the area for reasons still under police investigation.
EMS rendered aid to the injured victims at the scene before transporting those in need of extensive medical care to local hospitals. The names of the injured victims were not reported.
The left lane of the interstate was blocked while rescue crews were present on the roadway. Authorities urged local drivers to use alternate routes of travel while the scene was active with responders.
