Mississippi Traffic Accidents
Mississippi is no stranger to traffic accidents. In fact, each year, tens of thousands of collisions are reported throughout the Magnolia state. Some of these involve semi-trucks. Crashes involving semi-trucks usually result in serious injuries or even death for people involved. This is due to the fact that tractor-trailers are much larger and heavier than the average passenger vehicles.
Sadly, thousands of individuals suffer injuries in these crashes, and hundreds lose their lives. On average, about 600 people end up losing their lives each year because of car crashes that happen in Mississippi. Unfortunately, the majority of these accidents are caused by negligent driving.
In the past decade, driver negligence has become the main reason that road accidents occur in the United States and throughout the state of Mississippi. Several different forms of negligence are displayed by American drivers, ranging from distraction to intoxication and fatigue. All of these are extremely dangerous and end in injuries and loss of life more often than anyone would like to admit.
