Lamar County, MS (January 13, 2024) – A traffic accident involving a log truck happened in Lamar County. Several responders were sent to the scene of the incident at around 2:00 p.m. on January 11. According to reports from local sources, the collision happened on Mississippi Route 13 near Dear Road. Injuries were reported as a result of the accident, however, at this time, the extent of those injuries has not been reported. Traffic delays ensued in both directions while emergency workers were present in the area, and local motorists had to use caution or alternative travel routes until the scene was cleared. Currently, the individuals involved have not been identified. Police in Lamar County are still investigating.
