Lauderdale County, MS (July 24, 2023) – A major vehicle accident happened in Lauderdale County on the afternoon of July 21. At approximately 1:22 p.m., emergency crews were dispatched to the scene of the incident to help those involved.
At least one individual suffered injuries in the collision that occurred on Interstate 20 near the Toomsuba Exit. Paramedics helped those with injuries and transported seriously wounded patients to local hospitals for further assistance.
At this time, no one involved has been identified to the public.
Police in Lauderdale County continue to investigate. All eastbound lanes of traffic were blocked while crews worked in the area.
