Laurel, MS (December 24, 2022) – A four-car, chain-reaction collision happened in the Shady Grove area of Jones County on Saturday afternoon, December 17. Two people were sent to the hospital due to injuries they sustained in the accident.
The wreck shut down Mississippi 15 from Watermill Road to Old Highway 15 near the Shady Grove Fire Department. Information from the Jones County Fire Council shows responders arrived at the scene at around 5:30 p.m. Saturday.
Two people were transported from the scene with injuries deemed moderate in nature. Three others sustained minor injuries and declined transport to the hospital.
The Mississippi Highway Patrol were at the crash site along with the Jones County Sheriff’s Office. Police continue to investigate the details of the collision.
