Leake County, MS (August 21, 2023) – A major motor vehicle accident was reported to police in Leake County on the evening of August 21. At around 6:33 p.m., emergency responders went to the crash site to help the people involved in the accident.
Responders including EMTs, police, and firefighters were observed helping at the wreck site a short time after the incident took place. It happened at the intersection of Mississippi Route 16 near Malone Road.
All lanes of MS 16 were blocked while emergency responders worked in the area in an effort to help the injured victims. Paramedics transported those with serious injuries to the hospital where they received the care necessary for their injuries.
At this time, authorities continue to investigate the details of the incident.
