McComb, MS (January 24, 2022) – On Saturday night, January 22, a man was killed in a fatal pedestrian crash that happened in McComb.
Mississippi Highway Patrol officials responded to the scene of the accident, which happened in the southbound lanes of US-51. Police confirmed that 42-year-old Sundae Montague was driving her 2015 Chrysler in the area when she suddenly struck a pedestrian who was walking on the road. Montague stopped the vehicle and remained at the scene.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were dispatched to the scene to help those in need. The pedestrian, identified as 29-year-old Clinton Rosa, was tragically pronounced dead at the scene due to his injuries.
Due to the severity of the accident, the roadway was blocked in the area of the accident for a period of time.
No further details have been released but the Mississippi Highway Patrol continues its investigation.
