McComb, MS (December 23, 2021) – At 7:07 p.m. on the evening of Wednesday, December 22, an injury accident occurred at an intersection in McComb.
According to officials, the accident happened at the intersection of I-55 and Airport Fernwood Road. Two or more vehicles were traveling in the area when they entered the intersection at the same time, forcefully colliding with one another. The vehicles involved in the accident were badly damaged as a result of the crash.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were immediately dispatched to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims were injured as a result of the collision. The injured parties were hospitalized, though their conditions are not known at this time.
Due to the severity of the accident, a large portion of the roadway was blocked in the area of the intersection. Police quickly worked to clear the scene.
No further details have been released but the investigation into the circumstances of the collision continues.
