McHenry, MS – Kyla Watkins Loses Life After Crash on Hwy 49 near Sunflower Rd

McHenry, MS (December 6, 2023) – Police in Stone County report that a second victim has lost their life after a fatal traffic accident in Stone County. Reports show that 18-year-old Kyla Watkins lost her life due to the extent of her injuries. Watkins, the operator of the vehicle, was airlifted from the scene. The collision took place just before 2:00 a.m. on Tuesday, December 5 on Highway 49 between Sunflower and Hershel Road. At this time, the Mississippi Highway Patrol is working to investigate.
