Mississippi Auto Collisions
In the United States, auto collisions are one of the top ten causes of fatalities. Over 40,000 people lost their lives in 2021 due to auto accidents in the United States. This is about 10% more than the previous year, and the highest recorded yearly increase in fatalities, according to the National Highway Traffic Association. The truth of just how dangerous automobiles can be often gets pushed under the rug due to how common the use of cars and other vehicles is in our society.
Every year, tens of thousands of people in Mississippi are injured due to auto collisions. Over 1,000 people reportedly lost their lives in auto collisions each year in the US. Though no one looks forward to becoming involved in a car wreck, they happen all the time. In the United States, about 13 car crashes are reported per minute. Approximately 27% of all traffic collisions end in injuries, which is the same as about three injury accidents per minute.
Estimates by car insurance companies state that the odds of you becoming involved in an auto accident during a trip traveling about 1,000 miles are approximately 1 in 366. The average American driver files an insurance claim involving a car accident once every 18 years. When you or someone you love sustains injuries in a car accident, figuring out who or what caused the wreck is essential. If you find out that it was another person involved in the collision, they need to be held responsible for their actions.
