Meridian, MS (December 14, 2022) – At least one person was in need of medical attention at the scene of a car crash in Meridian on December 14. At approximately 3:31 p.m., emergency dispatchers sent police and paramedics to the scene of the accident on Interstate 20.
Reports show the crash occurred on I-20 past MS 145 South. The number of involved vehicles has not been reported at this time. At least one person sustained injuries in the accident.
Paramedics were seen rendering aid to those involved in the accident. All westbound lanes were closed while emergency crews worked to secure the crash scene and help those involved.
Police asked local drivers to use different routes of travel while the wreck site was occupied by responders. Delays in traffic ensued in the area for some time on the afternoon of December 14.
We hope for the full recovery of those with injuries. Nothing further has been reported.
