Meridian, MS (July 3, 2023) – A total of six people were hurt in a severe traffic collision that happened in the town of Meridian. Authorities say that it occurred on Monday morning, July 3rd, in Clarke County.
According to law enforcement, a Ford Transit entered the intersection of Highways 45 and 511 when it collided with a Kia Sedona. The impact of the crash resulted in serious damage to both cars and emergency responders were called to the scene to assist a short time later.
Either someone involved in the collision or a nearby witness called 911 and crews arrived at the scene. At least six people were hospitalized with various non-life-threatening injuries.
At this time, the conditions of the victims have not been reported. Investigators are working to determine the events that led to the collision.
