Montgomery County, MS (April 16, 2023) – Authorities confirmed that 74-year-old Shirley Herron lost her life in a car crash that occurred in Montgomery County.
On Friday, April 14, emergency officials across the county recalled the scene of an automobile that took place during the afternoon hours.
According to officials, a vehicle collision took place during the afternoon hours, causing one vehicle to roll over. The vehicle overturned and struck the center median. A passenger in the vehicle was ejected, and the driver was trapped inside. The tractor victim was removed from the vehicle. The driver was airlifted to Jackson Hospital for emergency care.
The passenger who was ejected, identified as Herron, was fatally injured. She was pronounced deceased at the scene.
At this time, the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the crash.
