Morton, MS (May 4, 2022) – One person was injured in a serious collision that took place at an intersection in Morton on Monday morning, May 2.
According to officials, the accident happened around 9:53 a.m. at the intersection of I-20 and MS-13. It was reported by police that several vehicles collided in the area when they entered the intersection at the exact same time. It is not known if one of the vehicles had a red light or what caused the vehicles to collide but the damage to the vehicles was immense.
Morton responders, including paramedics and fire crews, were called to help those at the scene. One person, who has not yet been identified, was injured in the accident. The party’s condition is not yet known but it is believed that they were hospitalized.
Several lanes of traffic were blocked in the area for some time. The scene was quickly cleared by police.
The investigation into the circumstances of the collision continues at this time.
