Moselle, MS (January 3, 2022) – A car accident with injuries took place on a major highway in Moselle on Sunday morning, January 2.
Moselle officials confirmed that the crash took place on I-59 around the area of exit 80 at 10:24 a.m. A driver was traveling in their Hyundai Sonata when they suddenly lost control of the vehicle due to reasons that are not yet known. The Sonata went off the side of the road, where it forcefully rolled over onto its roof. The accident led to extensive damages to the involved vehicle.
Several first responders, including paramedics and the Southwest Volunteer Fire Department, arrived at the scene to help those in need. Two occupants inside the vehicle sustained injuries, one of which had minor injuries and the other that had more severe injuries. The individuals were taken to a local hospital for treatment.
Due to the severity of the crash, a large portion of the roadway was blocked on the highway for some time.
The investigation into the circumstances of the accident continues at this time.
