Moss Point, MS (February 1, 2022) – An officer was injured in a rollover crash that took place at an intersection in Moss Point on Tuesday afternoon, February 1.
According to Moss Point Police, the accident happened at the intersection of Frederick Street and MS-63. Three vehicles, including a police SUV, were traveling in the area when they collided after entering the intersection. The accident was so severe that the police SUV overturned as a result. The vehicles involved in the accident were extensively damaged.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were dispatched to the scene. The officer was able to get out of the patrol vehicle. He sustained injuries and was rushed to the hospital. His current condition is not yet known.
The roadway was blocked in the area of the intersection for a period of time. Police quickly worked to clear the scene.
The investigation into the circumstances of the accident continues at this time.
