Mt Pleasant, MS (August 9, 2022) – A severe car accident happened in Mt Pleasant on the evening of August 6 that required an emergency dispatch. At approximately 7:03 p.m., responders were sent to the wreck scene on US-72.
According to information from reports, the incident occurred on US-72 near MS-311. At least two vehicles collided in the area and caused injuries to the involved parties.
Ambulances were observed in the area in order to transport those with injuries to local hospitals. At this time, the severity of the injuries that resulted from the wreck has not been reported.
All eastbound lanes of the highway were closed while police and other responders worked in the area. At this time, no further information has been reported.
