New Hope, MS (January 20, 2023) – The woman who lost her life in a fatal traffic accident in New Hope, Lowndes County, has been identified. Summer Michelle Yearby, 40, lost her life at the scene of the collision that happened on Tuesday morning, January 17.
Reports indicate the accident happened on Casey Lane while Yearby was riding as a passenger inside a Honda Accord that struck a tree. The driver reported to police that he lost control and left the roadway.
The driver, who has not been identified at this time, sustained non-life-threatening injuries in the crash. At this time, police in New Hope continue to investigate the details of the accident.
