Oxford, MS (August 28, 2022) – At least one person was hurt in a car wreck reported in Oxford on the morning of August 28. At approximately 11:55 a.m., responders were dispatched to the scene of the accident on University Road.
According to information from reports, the accident happened in the 1900 block of University Avenue near McDonald’s. What led to the crash and how many vehicles were involved has not been reported at this time.
Currently, police are investigating the details of the incident. Paramedics aided injured parties on-site before transporting at least one person to a local hospital for treatment.
Traffic was backed up in the vicinity of the wreck site for some time on the afternoon of August 28. Police in Oxford continue to investigate.
