Oxford, MS (March 26, 2022) – Injuries stemmed from a serious car accident that took place on a roadway in Oxford on Saturday morning, March 26.
According to local officials, the accident happened around 1:10 a.m. at 1802 Jackson Avenue in front of the Oxford Square Apartments. Two or more vehicles were traveling in the westbound lanes of traffic when they suddenly collided with each other due to unknown reasons. The vehicles involved in the crash were badly damaged and had to be towed from the scene.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other local responders were called to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims were hurt as a result of the collision. The injured parties were taken to local hospitals for treatment, though their conditions are not yet known.
Due to the severity of the accident, the roadway was blocked in the area for some time. Police quickly worked to clear the scene.
