Oxford, MS (January 5, 2022) – Around 8:25 p.m. on the night of Wednesday, January 5, a car accident with injuries occurred in Oxford.
Oxford Police confirmed that the accident happened on Molly Barr Road and involved a variety of vehicles. Two or more vehicles were allegedly traveling in the area when they collided with one another due to reasons that are still being investigated. The involved vehicles were badly damaged due to the collision.
Paramedics and numerous other local responders, including fire crews, were dispatched to the scene to help those in need. Several people sustained serious injuries as a result of the accident. The injured parties were taken to local hospitals for treatment of their injuries.
The roadway was blocked in several lanes of traffic as police worked to clear the scene.
