Oxford, MS (December 19, 2021) – At 11:10 p.m. on the night of Saturday, December 18, a car accident with injuries occurred in Oxford.
According to the Oxford Police Department, the accident happened at 2994 Old Taylor Road around the area of the local Dollar General. Police confirmed that two or more vehicles were traveling in the area when they collided with each other due to reasons that are not fully known. The vehicles involved in the accident were extensively damaged as a result.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were called to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims were injured as a result of the accident. The injured parties were taken to local hospitals for treatment of their injuries.
The roadway was blocked in the area of the accident for an extended period of time as police worked to clear the scene. Police quickly worked to clear the scene.
