Oxford, MS (April 9, 2022) – Injuries were reported in a serious car accident that took place on a roadway in Oxford on Saturday, April 9.
According to Oxford Police Department officials, the accident happened at 4:50 p.m. at 1535 University Avenue in front of Nail Theology. Several vehicles were traveling in the area when it is believed that one or more lost control due to unknown reasons. This caused the vehicles to forcefully collide with each other. The vehicles involved in the accident sustained severe damages in the collision.
Several local responders, including paramedics and fire crews, were immediately dispatched to the scene to help those in need. One or more individuals sustained injuries as a result of the accident. The injured parties were hospitalized with unknown injuries.
Due to the severity of the accident, the roadway was blocked in the area for an extended period of time. Police quickly worked to clear the scene.
