Oxford, MS (April 8, 2022) – Injuries stemmed from a car accident that took place on Thursday night, April 7, in Oxford.
According to the Oxford Police Department, the accident happened around 10:20 p.m. at 1936 University Avenue in front of Larson’s Cash Saver store. It was determined that several vehicles were traveling in the area when one or more lost control, causing the vehicles to forcefully collide with each other. The vehicles involved in the accident sustained heavy damages as a result of the collision.
Several local responders, including paramedics and fire crews, were dispatched to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims were hurt in the collision. The injured parties were taken to local hospitals for treatment, though their conditions are not yet known.
The roadway was blocked in several lanes of traffic as police worked to clear the scene. This led to delays in the area for some time.
