Oxford, MS (May 31, 2022) – Injuries were reported in a car accident that took place on a roadway in Oxford on Saturday night, May 28.
According to Oxford Police, the accident happened around 10:30 p.m. on Gater Road. Two or more vehicles were traveling in the area when one or more lost control, causing the vehicles to collide with each other forcefully. The involved vehicles were badly damaged as a result of the accident.
Paramedics, fire crews, and several other responders were called to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims were injured as a result of the accident. The injured parties were taken to local hospitals for treatment, though their conditions are not yet known.
The roadway was blocked in the area of the accident for a period of time. Police quickly worked to clear the scene.
