Oxford, MS (December 8, 2021) – At 2:20 p.m. on the afternoon of Wednesday, December 8, a car accident with injuries occurred in Oxford.
According to the Oxford Police Department, the accident happened at 201 Home Depot Drive in front of the local Home Depot store. Two or more vehicles were traveling in the area when they collided with each other due to reasons that are not yet known. The vehicles involved in the accident were extensively damaged as a result.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were dispatched to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims were injured as a result of the accident. The injured victims were taken to local hospitals for treatment of their injuries.
Due to the severity of the accident, the roadway was blocked for an extended period of time. Police quickly worked to clear the scene.
No further details have been released but the investigation remains ongoing.
