Oxford, MS (February 5, 2022) – On Friday evening, February 4, a car accident with injuries happened on a roadway in Oxford.
Oxford Police confirmed that the collision took place around 6:50 p.m. at 2002 Oxford Way in front of the Domain Apartments. Police confirmed that several vehicles were traveling in the area when one or more lost control, causing the vehicles to forcefully collide with one another. The vehicles involved in the accident were badly damaged as a result.
Paramedics and numerous other responders, including Oxford fire crews, were dispatched to the scene to help those with injuries. One or more victims sustained injuries as a result of the accident. The injured parties were taken to local hospitals for treatment, though their conditions are not known at this time.
The roadway was completely blocked in front of the apartments for a period of time. Police quickly worked to clear the scene.
No further details have been released but the investigation into the accident remains ongoing.
