Oxford, MS (January 10, 2022) – At 8:50 p.m. on the night of Sunday, January 9, a car accident with injuries occurred on a roadway in Oxford.
According to Oxford officials, the accident happened at 239 Sisk Avenue. Two or more vehicles were allegedly traveling in the area when one lost control, causing the vehicles to collide with one another. The vehicles involved in the accident were extensively damaged and had to be towed from the scene.
Paramedics and numerous other local responders were immediately dispatched to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims sustained injuries as a result of the accident. The injured parties were hospitalized, though their current conditions are not known at this time.
Due to the severity of the collision, a large portion of the roadway was blocked for some time.
