Oxford, MS (March 13, 2022) – On Saturday morning, March 12, a serious car accident with injuries took place on a roadway in Oxford.
According to the Oxford Police Department, the accident happened around 2:05 a.m. in front of the local Kroger at 2013 University Avenue. Several vehicles were traveling in the area when they suddenly collided in front of the local grocery store due to reasons that are not yet known. The vehicles involved in the accident were extensively damaged as a result of the accident.
Several responders, including paramedics and fire crews, were dispatched to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims sustained injuries as a result of the accident. The injured parties, who have not yet been identified, were taken to local hospitals for treatment. Their conditions are not known at this time.
Due to the severity of the collision, the roadway was blocked in the area for an extended period of time.
No further details have been released but the investigation continues.
