Oxford, MS (April 12, 2022) – At 3:40 p.m. on Tuesday afternoon, April 12, a car accident with injuries took place on a roadway in Oxford.
According to the Oxford Police Department, the accident happened at 2151 Jackson Avenue in front of the local Chipotle restaurant. Police confirmed that several vehicles were traveling in the area when they collided with each other due to reasons that are not yet known. The vehicles involved in the accident sustained heavy damage as a result of the collision.
Paramedics, fire crews, and several other local responders were dispatched to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims were injured in the accident. The injured parties were taken to local hospitals for treatment, though their conditions are not yet known.
Due to the severity of the collision, the roadway was blocked in the area for an extended period of time. Police quickly worked to clear the scene.
