Oxford, MS (December 22, 2021) – At 11:55 a.m. on the morning of Wednesday, December 21, a car accident with injuries occurred in Oxford.
According to Oxford Police, the accident happened at 2013 University Avenue around the area of the local Kroger store. Two or more vehicles were traveling in the area when one or more lost control, causing the vehicles to collide with one another. The vehicles involved in the accident were badly damaged as a result.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were called to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims sustained injuries as a result of the accident. The injured parties were hospitalized, though their conditions are not yet known.
Due to the severity of the accident, a large portion of the roadway was blocked for some time. Police quickly worked to clear the scene.
No further details have been released. The investigation into the accident continues at this time.
