Oxford, MS (February 14, 2022) – A car accident with serious injuries took place on a roadway in Oxford on Monday morning, February 14.
Oxford Police confirmed that the accident happened around 9:10 a.m. at 2000 Jackson Avenue. The collision happened in the westbound lanes in front of the local Sonic Drive-in. Several vehicles were traveling in the area when one or more lost control, causing the vehicles to collide forcefully with each other. The involved vehicles were extensively damaged as a result.
Paramedics, fire crews, and several other responders were immediately dispatched to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims sustained injuries due to the accident. The injured parties were rushed to local hospitals but are expected to be okay.
Due to the severity of the collision, the area was blocked in front of Sonic until police cleared the scene.
