Oxford, MS (February 6, 2022) – On Sunday evening, February 6, a car accident with injuries took place on a roadway in Oxford.
According to Oxford officials, the collision happened at 6:15 p.m. at 805 College Hill Road around the area of The University Arbors. Two or more vehicles were traveling in the area when they collided with each other due to reasons that are not fully known. The involved vehicles were severely damaged as a result.
Several responders, including paramedics and fire crews, were immediately dispatched to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims sustained injuries due to the collision. The injured parties were taken to local hospitals for treatment of unknown injuries. Their identities are not known at this time.
Due to the severity of the collision, a portion of the road was blocked in the area until police cleared the scene.
No further details have been released but the investigation remains ongoing. Police will update as more information is available.
