Oxford, MS (March 10, 2022) – Injuries stemmed from a serious car crash that took place on a roadway in Oxford on Thursday morning, March 10.
According to local officials, the accident happened around 8:55 a.m. at 321 North Lamar Boulevard at Lindsey’s Chevron Food Mart. Several vehicles were traveling on the roadway in the area when one or more lost control, causing the vehicles to collide. All involved vehicles had to be towed from the scene due to damages.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were immediately dispatched to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims sustained injuries as a result of the accident. The victims, who have not yet been identified, were rushed to area hospitals for treatment. Their current conditions are not yet known.
Due to the severity of the accident, the roadway was blocked in front of the food store for an extended period of time.
No further details have been released but the investigation remains ongoing. Police will update with more information as it becomes available.
