Oxford, MS (March 8, 2022) – Injuries were reported in a car crash that took place on a roadway in Oxford on Tuesday morning, March 8.
According to Oxford Police, the accident happened at 600 Merchants Drive in front of the local Ulta. Around 11:35 a.m., several vehicles were traveling in the area when they forcefully collided with each other due to reasons that are not entirely known. The vehicles involved in the crash were badly damaged and had to be towed from the scene.
Several responders, including paramedics and fire crews, were immediately dispatched to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims were injured as a result of the collision. The injured parties were taken to local hospitals for treatment, though their identities and conditions are not yet known.
Due to the severity of the collision, a large portion of the roadway was blocked in the area. Police quickly worked to clear the scene.
No further details have been released. The investigation into the accident remains ongoing.
