Oxford, MS (August 14, 2022) – A serious car crash happened in Oxford on August 13 that required an emergency dispatch. At approximately 2:00 p.m., responders were sent to the scene of the accident to help the involved parties.
Officials reported that the accident happened in the 2100 block of South Lamar Boulevard near Marquis Chevron. Vehicles collided in the area and caused injuries to at least one person.
Paramedics were observed in the area a short time after the wreck happened to help the involved parties. One or more individuals were transported with injuries to local hospitals in order to receive the necessary medical care.
At this time, authorities continue to investigate the circumstances of the accident. Traffic delays were seen in the area while responders worked at the crash scene. Drivers who were commuting near the 2100 block of South Lamar Boulevard were asked to use alternative routes of travel for the time that the crash scene was active.
