Oxford, MS (March 17, 2022) – Victims were injured in a car crash that took place on a roadway in Oxford on Thursday morning, March 17.
According to Oxford Police, the accident happened around 2:20 a.m. on North Lamar Boulevard. Two or more vehicles were traveling in the area when they allegedly collided with one another due to reasons that are not yet known. The vehicles involved in the accident were extensively damaged and had to be towed from the scene.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other local responders were called to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims sustained injuries as a result of the accident. The injured parties, who have not yet been identified, were taken to local hospitals for treatment of their injuries.
The roadway was blocked in the area for an extended period of time. Police quickly worked to clear the scene.
No further details have been released. The investigation into the circumstances of the accident continues.
