Oxford, MS (February 2, 2022) – Injuries were reported in a car crash that took place on a roadway in Oxford on Wednesday evening, February 2.
According to Oxford Police, the accident happened at 1603 Jackson Avenue around 7:50 p.m. Several vehicles were traveling in the westbound lanes in front of the Domino’s Pizza restaurant when they collided with each other due to reasons that are not yet known. The involved vehicles were extensively damaged and had to be towed from the scene.
Several responders, including paramedics and fire crews, were immediately dispatched to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims sustained injuries as a result of the accident. The injured parties were hospitalized with unknown injuries.
The roadway was blocked in the area for an extended period of time. Police quickly worked to clear the scene
No further details have been released but the investigation remains ongoing.
