Oxford, MS (April 7, 2022) – Injuries were reported in a car crash that took place on a roadway in Oxford on Thursday evening, April 7.
According to Oxford Police, the accident happened around 5:45 p.m. at 206 Town Center Drive in front of the Highland Square Apartments. Several vehicles were traveling in the area when one or more lost control, causing them to forcefully collide with each other. The vehicles involved in the accident were badly damaged as a result.
Paramedics, fire crews, and several other responders were called to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims were taken to local hospitals for treatment of their injuries, though their conditions are not yet known.
Due to the severity of the accident, the roadway was blocked in the area for an extended period of time. Police quickly worked to clear the scene.
The investigation into the circumstances of the accident continues at this time.
