Oxford, MS (September 20, 2021) – At 2:25 p.m. on the afternoon of Sunday, September 19, a car crash with injuries occurred on a roadway in Oxford.
According to the Oxford Police Department, the accident happened at 1804 Jackson Avenue around the area of the local Starbucks. Several vehicles were lined up on the roadway waiting to turn into the drive-thru when two or more vehicles collided with each other. The vehicles involved in the accident were extensively damaged.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were dispatched to the highly dangerous area that is prone to accidents. One or more victims were injured in the accident. The injured parties were taken to local hospitals for treatment.
The roadway was blocked in the area for a period of time. Police quickly worked to clear the scene.
