Oxford, MS (September 21, 2022) – A car accident happened in Oxford on the afternoon of September 21. Sources say the crash happened shortly before 5:00 p.m. on South Lamar Boulevard.
Information provided by local officials states that the incident took place near Phillips Grocery in the 2400 block of South Lamar Boulevard. An unspecified number of vehicles collided in the area and caused at least one person to become injured.
Those with injuries were treated on-site and transported to local hospitals with injuries. The names of the involved parties were not immediately released.
Currently, authorities in Oxford are still investigating the details of the accident. Traffic was delayed in the area for some time while responders worked to secure the scene.
