Oxford, MS (January 18, 2022) – On Tuesday afternoon, January 18, a car accident with injuries took place at an intersection in Oxford.
According to Oxford Police, the accident happened at the intersection of Jackson Avenue and Rebel Drive. Several vehicles were traveling in the area when they entered the intersection simultaneously, causing the vehicles to forcefully collide with one another. The involved vehicles were badly damaged as a result.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were dispatched to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims sustained injuries as a result of the collision. The injured parties were taken to local hospitals for treatment of unknown injuries.
The roadway was blocked in the area of the intersection for an extended period of time. Police quickly worked to clear the scene.
