Oxford, MS (January 6, 2022) – Around 9:05 a.m. on the morning of Thursday, January 6, a car accident with injuries took place on a roadway in Oxford.
According to Oxford Police officials, the accident happened on American Eagle Way. Police confirmed that several vehicles were traveling in the area when they suddenly collided with each other due to reasons that are not fully known. It is alleged that one lost control, causing the accident between the other vehicles. The involved vehicles sustained damages and had to be towed from the scene.
Numerous local responders, including paramedics and fire crews, were called to the scene to help those in need. One or more parties sustained serious injuries in the collision. The injured parties were taken to local hospitals for treatment.
Due to the severity of the collision, a large portion of the roadway was blocked. Police quickly worked to clear the scene, ending delays in the area.
