Oxford, MS (April 7, 2022) – Injuries were reported in a car accident that took place on a roadway in Oxford on Thursday evening, April 7.
According to Oxford Police, the accident happened at 1501 Jackson Avenue in front of the Noodle Bowl restaurant. Several vehicles were traveling in the area when one or more lost control, causing the vehicles to forcefully collide with each other. The vehicles involved in the accident were extensively damaged as a result of the collision.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were dispatched to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims sustained injuries in the collision. The injured parties were taken to local hospitals for treatment, though their conditions are not known at this time.
The roadway was blocked in all westbound lanes of traffic for an extended period of time. Police quickly worked to clear the scene.
