Oxford, MS (February 20, 2022) – On Sunday evening, February 20, a car accident took place on a roadway in Oxford that led to injuries.
According to Oxford Police, the accident happened around 7:20 p.m. on Jefferson Avenue. Two or more vehicles were traveling in the area when they suddenly collided with each other due to reasons that are not yet known. The vehicles involved in the accident were badly damaged and had to be towed from the scene.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were called to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims sustained injuries as a result of the accident. The injured parties were taken to local hospitals for treatment of their injuries. Their conditions are not yet known.
Due to the severity of the accident, the roadway was blocked in the area for a period of time.
