Oxford, MS (January 26, 2022) – Injuries were reported in a serious car accident that took place on a roadway in Oxford on Wednesday afternoon, January 26.
According to Oxford Police, the accident happened at 2:15 p.m. at 2204 Jefferson Davis Drive. Two or more vehicles were traveling in the area when they collided with each other due to reasons that are not entirely known. The vehicles involved in the accident were badly damaged as a result of the collision.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other local responders were immediately dispatched to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims sustained injuries due to the collision. The injured parties were taken to local hospitals for treatment of unknown injuries.
Due to the severity of the collision, the roadway was blocked in several lanes as police worked to clear the scene.
