Oxford, MS (January 3, 2022) – Oxford Police responded to the scene of a car accident on a roadway in Oxford on Monday, January 3.
Oxford Police Department officials confirmed that the accident happened at 12:15 p.m. at 901 Merchants Drive in front of the local Home Goods store. Police stated that several vehicles were traveling in the area when they became involved in a forceful collision with each other. The vehicles involved in the accident were extensively damaged due to the collision.
First responders were dispatched to the scene of the crash to help victims in need. One or more individuals sustained serious injuries as a result of the accident. The parties were taken to local hospitals for treatment by ambulance.
Due to the severity of the collision, a large portion of the roadway was blocked in the area for some time.
